TORONTO . Patrick Spence , head of global sales of BlackBerry
decided to resign from Research In Motion ( RIM ) . Spence is one of the old RIM
employee who has worked for 14 years .
According to sources, Spence chose to work in a wireless audio company Sonos Inc. based in Santa Barbara , California. Unfortunately , Sonos is not willing to comment on this issue .
Likewise with RIM who also declined to comment . Spence considered to act as an outstanding employee who is able to boost RIM sales in Europe and emerging markets like the Middle East including Indonesia .
He was an important figure in the marketing of the BlackBerry ,
including a policy to decentralize the RIM sales match the needs of the market .
As head of marketing , Spence became the right hand the company's founder and
CEO , John MacFarlane .
Male graduates of the University of Western Ontario , Canada currently serves as Head of Global Sales in July 2011 . Previously , Spence served as Managing Director of RIM for Europe , Middle East and Africa . Spence's position will be replaced by Kristian Tear, who currently serves as Chief Operating Officer .
